Clumsy is really satisfying to say, not really clumsy in the mouth, although perhaps a little clattery.

"Clumsy oaf" is a gorgeous phrase, full of delicious consonants moderated by puffy vowels that provide ease and pleasure in between which feels similar in texture and use to soft white bread.

The 'lum' part sounds very English, like 'lummock'; like a heavy, stupid sort of thing. As if it is so slow it falls over itself. Very appropriate to the feeling of the word.
